Puffins Watch
An animation created by Amanda Lorens and the primary school students from Five Islands Academy. This animation takes a look at the building of the three lighthouses by Trinity house in the mid 19th-Century from a puffin perspective. With music by Piers Lewin, the script written by Anna Murphy and the children from Five Islands Academy, it is an absolute beauty. The film is suitable for everyone.
Rosevear, pt 1- in this bare island
This is the first of a duet of music films composed and created by Piers Lewin. Piers is an incredible musician and is a master of any wind instrument. He was invited to create a piece of music in response to the Island of Rosevear, a small Island on the Western Rocks that was used as an encampment for the Trinity House engineers and workmen.
Rosevear, pt 2 - sometimes voices
This short music film is the companion piece to Rosevear, pt 1 - in this bare island. It was composed and created by Piers Lewin of St Agnes. Piers was commissioned to compose a apiece of music in response to Rosevear island, a tiny island used as the encampment for the Trinity House engineers and workmen building the Bishop Rock Lighthouse. This black and white fit has a darker tone and is particularly influenced by a passage written in the autobiography of Sir James Nicholas Douglass, chief engineer who could tame the wild birds by sitting on a rock and playing his flute.
